Random Thoughts

Greyson now weighs 13lbs 15ozs!! Great news, the doctor officially said he is no longer Failure to Thrive!!! He is such a wonderful little guy with the most expressive face I have ever seen.

Soo Cute!

This one just cracked me up! And no this is not the normal reaction he has looking at his mom! Well this is what he looked like when I came home with my braces :) Photobucket

Rory I think has a crush on his teacher. I would never draw attention to it or anything like that. But the other day Rory came home and asked me if he could write a note to his teacher. Ok great! Well he wanted to make sure he did it his very best. He also wanted to draw picture of her with "her pretty blond hair", so he said "mom find me a yellow crayon so I can make her hair pretty". So he put it in an envelope and gave it to her. Today Rory came home and was telling me about how his teacher has the same jacket as I do and that she looks pretty in it. She has blond hair and it is very pretty. He is just so darn cute!!

All ready for the snow! Wait, somethings missing....

A look I am sure to get more and more of as he gets older. Were you talking?
Photobucket

Wyatt has us in tears sometimes with the crazy things that come out of his mouth. "Mom spiders eat snakes, watch out" or "Mom, that scratch on my leg came from a shark". He seriously keeps us in stitches.

New Toy and Great Health

Love these boys!

Rory is growing up so fast. I just need to remember to wash his face when I take his picture next time. Cupcake Friday will do it to yeah every time.

Oh my Wyatt!!! This little guy is so much fun. So serious, yet so goofy at times.

My baby is doing so much better!!!! My little Grey is no longer so little. I can't believe how sickly he looks in the left picture. He has gained 3lbs 4ozs in the span of a month. Seriously I couldn't be more grateful. What an incredible blessing!!!

Greyson Update

So I sit here in Greyson's hospital room, one week later with such a warm heart.

I am so grateful to all of you who have given us such kind and loving words of support and for your prayers. You have no idea how that helped me find renewed strength. Brian and I feel so rich, because we are blessed to have such incredible friends and family.  So thank you so much for helping us through this bump in the road.

My heart is also bursting with excitement because baby Grey is feeling better. He no longer has that horrible head accessory, the head IV. And he is PEEING. Yes I am being crude, sorry. I never thought that I would be so excited at the site of urine in a diaper.   Not to mention the site of regular other stuff ( often referred to as #2) looking completely normal. Especially because he is staying hydrated without the help of the IV. What an incredible thing. He also has returned to his normal pale color with a little bit of pink and peach everywhere( courtesy of his very pale parents). He smiles now and flirts with all the ladies in the room ;) He is for sure returning to his normal self.

But here is the best part and I don't know what this means yet as far as where I will be tomorrow.  He GAINED WEIGHT!!!!  I am so happy!!!  So I guess we will have to see what the doctors think and maybe I will be reunited with those gorgeous men I love and miss so much, Brian included ;)  I have missed them so much!!  I will try to never again take for granted the time that we have together again!

Here is another great quote I read this morning in Pres. Monson's talk that struck me.

"Despite the changes which come into our lives and with gratitude in our hearts, may we fill our days -- as much as we can-with those things which matter most.  May we cherish those we hold dear and express our love to them in word and deed."

Its soooo true!!!

Gratitude

I feel that this is something that I have forgotten about with all the crazyness of life.

To stop and smell the roses and take in your surroundings. To count your blessings and name them one by one. I love the quote from President Monson's talk where he says, "We should make the most of today, of here and now, doing all we can to provide pleasant memories for the future." He also quotes The Music Man "You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you've collected a lot of empty yesterdays"

I feel like I have collected a lot of empty yesterdays. I've missed opportunities and got caught up in the less important things. Reality has struck us like a ton of bricks recently. I am posting this message from a gorgeous room in the Children's hospital at Fitzsimons. Greyson, 2 and 1/2 months old, became severely dehydrated because of a virus that was going around our house. Not to mention they have diagnosed him as failure to thrive.
This has been the scariest moment of my life. I have had to reach deep inside myself to find the strength to hold it together as he is pricked and poked at on a regular basis throughout the day and night. Not to mention he has an IV in his head. I guess that is the best place sometimes for good veins. It is the hardest thing to look at my sweet newborn with tubes and cords coming off of him.

I think I have cried so much for him lately that I'm sure I could fill a swimming pool. This is my worst nightmare come true to have something horrible happen to one of my children. I haven't seen Rory and Wyatt since friday and I miss them horribly. They are my sweet rays of sunshine. Its a difficult situation, but we make it through it with faith. He is going to recover and we are going to be able to go home and head back into the grind of life again. But some of the kids that Greyson is here with are not so lucky. This hospital is so hard to be in because of the cries echoing though the halls from different kids. Yet it is wonderful because this environment is such a happy one. The staff works hard to make sure that these kids are happy and having fun. They had a halloween thing today. They have radio flyer wagons that you can pull kids in all through the hospital.

I am so grateful for modern medicine that makes this serious problem of Greyson's heal and go away.
He will be healthy again soon.

I am grateful for my husband who is a ROCK. His faith is unwavering and pure. Looking in his deep eyes assures me everything will be OK.

I am grateful for my guys. talking to them brightens my spirits and gives me strength. they have healthy, crazy boys and I love it.

I am grateful for my family who have dropped everything to assure that our kids are taken care of and that I am OK.

I am grateful for my friends. The love and support showed from them has been amazing.

I am grateful for my Lord and Savior who has been a constant by my side showing me the inner strength I need to make it through the next obstacle.

My life has changed for the better and I realize how richly blessed I am. And I will make it my duty in life to cherish and nurture every one of those blessings.

My hope is there will be no more empty yesterdays for me.

Boys Bathroom sign

Sorry to all who might be offended with this picture. But to me it is the perfect sign I would love to have on all bathrooms frequented by my little men.

So here is the skinny on my reasoning for the sign. A couple of days ago, Wyatt decided that he had to go the bathroom and instead of going to the closest one, he decided he had to run to the one all the way upstairs. So I hear some noises upstairs and finally Wyatt submerges from the bathroom and claims he needs new clothes.

"Why do you need new clothes, Wyatt?"

"Because I got wet."

Here I was thinking he peed on the carpet. Which thankfully he didn't. No, when I walked into his bathroom it looked like a war had been fought in there. Without too much description, the walls, the floor, basically everything except for the toilet retained the most damage. AAAAHHH! Yuck.

I figured out the next day when I supervised his next toilet session that he was trying to be a big boy like his brother and use the toilet like he does. Well we now know he is not ready, yet.

Wow and I have three of them. Boys who I love. Boys that make me laugh. Boys that are so sweet. And yes boys that are probably going to continue to make my bathrooms disgusting.

The Next Beckham

We finally got Rory in Soccer. After promising him, and failing to sign him up on time. I finally moved quickly and got him on a team, "The Cheetahs". Grrr!! Anyways Rory's first game was this past Saturday. I think he really liked it. He did really well for it being his first time ever. But I am no professional by any means. We had a great time.

Wyatt was busy on the sidelines being cute and cheering on Rory. He also claimed one of Greyson's blankets, and was running around like superman with it.

Greyson was the silent cheerer. He was so good the whole game.

Catching up.....

So this summer has been jammed packed. Now that I am more comfortable at the computer I can catch up everything that has happened.

Well we moved, as most of you know, to Broomfield. Love it!! Brian started his job at the beginning of July. The day after we officially moved in. Kind of fast but it worked out great! He is having a great time and comes home happy. Honestly that is all you can ask for. I'm so proud of him. If you need a dentist, I know a good one ;)

Rory my sweetheart has grown up right before our eyes. He turned 5 and now takes the bus to kindergarten. My heart still jumps thinking about him taking the bus. I have to admit I did tail the bus to and from school the first day. But after that I felt better. He wasn't scared and probably would've pitched a fit if I offered to take him to school. The bus stop is just up the street. So its been nice to just walk all the kids to the bus stop twice a day. Instead of loading and unloading everyone in the car. The only hang up is that Rory needs to be at the bus stop at 7:30am. Yikes!! His school starts at 7:45. That was early for me when I was in highschool. Oh well he is excited and chipper everyday I go to wake him up. I'm so excited that he is pumped about school everyday.
Here are some pictures

Wyatt is fully potty trained. Can I get a "Whoo hoo"!!! That has been a blessing. I don't even have to ask him anymore. He is having a difficult time with Rory being at school. The first couple days he kept asking me where "his Rory was". He loves his brother so much!! I am so grateful that even though they fight like cats and dogs our boys really love each other at the end of the day. Wyatt loves being a big brother now and is always asking me questions to make sure I am doing my job.

"Is baby brother OK?"
"Mom, you need to change him, he stinky!"
"Is baby sleeping. Shh you need to be quiet mom."

He is such a good big brother.

Greyson is such a precious little boy. I am so glad that he is here. He has been a great little baby thus far and has even given his parents some sleep now and then. Grey was born 9 days apart from his cousin. He was born the same day as our good friends baby. He is changing fast. I can't even believe how fast it has flown by. By the way I truly believe that because Greyson was almost born the day of the opening ceremony for the Olympics. He is the reason the USA has done so well. So I fully expect a phone call from Michael Phelps thanking us for the good luck charm that arrived. :) Grey is wonderful.

I've included some pics of Rory and Wyatt as a baby and you can clearly see that Greyson is a excellent combo of the two older ones. Which means his gorgeous father's genes have kicked in again and he is a spitting image of that handsome man I married. I am grateful.

Well thats the happenings of the Hutchisons.

X-Files

Does anyone else miss a cool sci-fi series like this? I've been watching reruns and was reminded how much I liked this. I remember having X-file nights in college. I know what your thinking but honestly I was not part of some nerdy sci-fi club. My FHE bros loved the show as well. Always so interesting. Love Scully and Mulder. I was just thinking that I have yet to find a TV show comparable to this show. Oh well. I'm looking forward to the movie coming out. Hopefully they don't get too hokey.

Can I go peepee?

Maybe its just me but I've always freaked myself out when I was little that someone was watching me in my sleep. Well last night at about 1:00am, I felt like someone was watching me. I opened my eyes and surprise Rory is standing right in front of my face. I have no idea how long he had been standing there. I screamed!! All he wanted to know was if he could go to the bathroom. Such a polite child. Seriously though we have told him to just go and not wake us up or scare us awake. This morning Brian was laughing hysterically at me. I have a feeling he is going to try and freak me out in the near future, now that he knows my weakness.

Book Review "The Host"

So I got this for my birthday and didn't start reading it till last week. I loved it. This woman can write. Wow what a talent!! I will say this, the beginning was slightly confusing but once you catch on it is such a fabulous read. Stephenie Meyer has this way of making you connect with the characters so that you miss reading and being apart of their lives once the book ends. Man it was addicting. Brian officially does not like Stephenie Meyer because I get so addicted to reading any book she writes, and can't put it down till I finish. I'd say thats a good sign of a great author! Incredibly well written.

Catching up

Not that were behind but it feels like I haven't really posted something in a long little while.

So my sweet Rory graduated from Preschool and is heading into "Big Kids Land" elementary and I am excited, nervous, happy, sad all at the same time. My little guy is growing up. They had a face painter there so being the good mother that I am --Ha!! I let Rory get his face done, my suggestion was a little something on his arm. But i caved! I honestly think it scared him to death when he first looked in the mirror. But after that he was running around looking for spiderman, because he's Venom.

Were moving to Broomfield at the end of this month. Were renting this house with, get this, a garage, and backyard. We are so excited. Brian starts work July 2nd so he is elated that it is sooner than later. He is on the schedule! Not to mention he will be the sharpest dressed guy at the practice after his "need" for work clothes was voiced. That man can shop, better than me. He will look absolutely fabulous, with the increase in this wardrobe. Were also trying to rent out our town home, with that includes prepping it for renters as well. Lots of painting and other such improvements going on. If you know anybody who would be interested please let us know ;)

Were potty training Wyatt. It is extremely slow going. This morning he went to bathroom on his own. But then peed on my carpet just for good measure. Oh well if you can't have a sense of humor about than sanity will never be possible.

June started on a sad note, my grandfather passed away. He was so heartbroken when my grandmother passed three years ago that it was wonderful to know that they are finally going to be together again. He was 89 and in pretty bad shape at the end. We will miss him though. He was a hard worker and taught us a great work ethic as us kids would work on their farm during the summer. Brian and I are getting excited about getting some temple work going for them.

Thirty, Flirty & Thriving

So its happened. I officially left my twenties behind, and I'm headed for those amazing 30s. I feel pretty good about it too. I had a lot of people asking me how I felt. Well I would rather not be pregnant and large on this momentous occasion but I haven't felt bad about it. I'm healthy, I have an amazing family with the most wonderful man. There really isn't too much to be upset about. The future looks bright. It helps that my sweeter/better half, Brian, turned thirty last year ;) Even though his patients keep asking him if he is old enough to be practicing dentistry. Forever young that one.

Well I love the movie 13 going on 30. I'm definatley 30, I don't know how flirty I am to Brian being as far into the Pregnancy as I am, but my life is thriving. I feel like my life has started in a more solid path. 2 3/4 kids later, were done with school and heading into the real world, and a house is looking bright in our future, and all of this happened on my 30th year. So I would say I am finally growing up and becoming responsible at 30. Wow!!! Took me long enough ;)

My sister-in-law sent me this great quote from C.S. Lewis
"Thirty was so strange for me. I've really had to come to terms with the fact that I am now a walking and talking adult"

So true!!

I'd like to think of it like my sister does I'll be celebrating my 29th birthday for a while till I get caught ;) One of my friends considers herself 29+1. So here is to 29+1!!!

Sweetest Big Brothers

Rory and Wyatt are seriously preparing themselves for little brother to arrive. They include him in everything already, thats right in-utero my little guy is playing up a storm. I've told you that they kiss and hug my belly goodnight. But a couple funny things happened recently.

Rory came up to my belly and tapped it. He screamed "Your it!" and then went running. Confused I looked at Rory and asked him if me or the baby was it. He said "not you mom, the baby". I thought that was so cute.

They always ask me if I am feeding the little guy.

The other day I was getting the boys ready for church. He comes up to me and says "Has little brother gotten his sunday best on.", "Of course", then Rory proceeds to think about it and says "I wonder whats inside baby brother's closet inside your belly, he must have a lot of clothes". I laughed so hard.

Seinfeld Moment

I am a huge Seinfeld fan! Love it! I just think its so funny how easy it is to relate crazy moments from life to a Seinfeld episode. For instance, last Friday I went to have a pedicure and manicure at this little salon near my house. Of course the salon was filled with employees that clearly English was a second language, which I have no problem with. So my little gal spoke English really well and started quizzing me about .... Yep you guessed it ... my prego belly. She kept looking at it and wondering why it was so big. she then proceeded to speak to the ladies around her in her native language. All these heads turned my way and a wave a laughter followed.

So here is where the Seinfeld Deja voo occured. Nail salon workers make fun of Elaine in Vietnamese, and Elaine laughs right along with them. She later brings in Frank Costanza, George's father, to find out what they are saying. Surprise, surprise they are making fun of her. She gets banned from coming into the Salon after that.

Unfortunantly I wasn't laughing for I understand that my large midsection is rather alarming to all cultures. Needless to say those laughing Hyeinas were lucky they got a tip. A return visit will not be in their future. I ban them ;D

This pregnancy has turned out to rather humerous with the reactions I have been recieving.

Just an update Sister Compliments (thats what I am calling her) found me yet again and decided to tell me the predicament Dr. Phil's wife faced when she gained 60 lbs during both her pregnancies and only had 6 lb babies. What do you say to that? I pretended like I didn't know who Dr. Phil was.

Double Digits

Our new little man has made it into the double digits before he makes his grand arrival. I can hardly believe how fast time flies.

Pregnancy compliments ... (Sort of)

There is a sweet, well meaning old lady in our ward that has come up to me on 4 different occasions completely taken by surprise that I'm pregnant. Its like she forgets every week that she already talked to me. She is a sweet lady that I'm sure she means well. Anyways here is a list of the top 4 lines she said to me.

  1. "WOW your big, is there twins in there? You better have your doctor make sure."

  2. "Your never going to make it to your due date, with the size you are now."

  3. "I'll bet your baby is huge!"

  4. "Your bigger than you were with your other two."

My response to them is "You don't say!"; "I'm pretty sure that my doctor knows how many babies are in there."; "Thank you for noticing."

I mean isn't it funny that women are the ones that say the oddest things to pregnant women. Weren't they pregnant before? I have a sense of humor about it and I'm sure looking at me would cause wonder. Refer to Big Belly Blog Entry. Were going to a football game with some good friends and they suggested painting my belly. I just might "shock and awe" those around. You shouldn't put such great ideas in my head. You never know ;) Just kidding!!!

Catching up West side style ....

Well its official we are heading to the unknown and moving our clan to Westminster. Brian accepted a job up there. And currently we are trying to find good neighborhoods and nice houses with a garage, a backyard and no neighbors on the other side of the wall. Although it has not been bad with the neighbors on our one side currently.

We are excited and feel so blessed with the way the Lord has helped us get to this point. Seriously Westminster is honestly the furthest place I thought that I would be but we are here on the Lord's errand not mine. We have ideas on where we think we should go and sometimes its not always in line with where we need to go.

Brian applied for residencies in other states but we ended up at the VA in Denver. Through that VA he meet this awesome Perio guy that suggested this Westminster place to Brian. Through prayer and many trips to the temple the Lord told us to turn down jobs closer to home and go with the one up there. Its neat to see the reason why the Lord wanted us to stay close to home for residency. We would have never meet the guy that helped us find this job. Nor would we be heading to a place that clearly the Lord wants us to be. The other amazing part is that everything is working out so well with the transitions we need to make to go up there. I am truly grateful that we can recognize the hand of the Lord in our lives.

Other great news ....

Rory scored two goals in his last game and was one of 4 kids in a class of 20-30 to get a game puck at the end!!! Not only does Rory fit the part with the lack of his teeth but he has the skill set to back it up. He is so fun

Wyatt has gotten two blackeyes on the same eye in less than a month. It sure is a joy taking him into public. First one was from his best bud they crashed into each other. The second one was from a beautiful little girl, they too crashed into each other. I'm sure she took his breathe away before and after the incident occured.

As for me I had one of the best weekends with some great friends. Shopping, eating and great girl fun was the name of the game. Can't wait for Arizona! I'm working on trying not to waddle too much. Third trimester is always the best ;)

Well thats the update!!

Zoot Suits

Brian was at his parents house this past saturday and found some old clothes of his. We didn't look through it together. However come Sunday morning I finished getting ready for Church and these two little cuties come into my room ready "to be deacons" as Rory was saying. It was so adorable. Its crazy that these are some of Brian's old suits from the good old days. I could just imagine this adorable little Brian running around in them. Teeny tiny double breasted suits. Hilarious!

Just love these boys.

They look so adorable. It was so cute to see them in miniature suits.

We had to get Rory striking the "John Travolta" Pose.

Unfortunantley by the end of church they had each had an "incredible hulk" moment and popped a couple of buttons off their suits. Well I am going to have to get better with my sewing skills soon.

I like to introduce you to ....

Rory "Gretzky" Hutchison

We enrolled Rory into hockey for the month and he seems to be picking it up like he has been playing forever. Its so cool to see him getting into sports. He seemed to love it. Its a parent, child class so Brian helps him learn the different moves. I couldn't tell who was having more fun, him or Brian. Its just so fun to watch.

Prince Wyatt is 3

Wyatt turned 3 last Wednesday. It was a lot of fun! We had a little cousins party for him at Chuck E. Cheese. When we got to CEC it was crowded, not expected considering it was a weeknight. And totally under construction. I guess I need to plan better next time. Hardly any games were working and the floors were uneven and dangerous to walk on. Other than that it was a great time. The kids didn't seem to mind, they had a blast.

Kind of crazy. Kids keep growing up way too fast.

Inside the World of Wyatt

Wyatt was tagged by one of his very favorite people...Cousin Owen

7. If you have ever meet this little boy then you'll know that one of his favorite things in this world are BALLS. Soccer balls, Basketballs, Tennis Balls, Footballs he is absolutely obsessed with sports! I believe that "ball" was his first word. He likes to watch college basketball with Dad and comment on how that "player made bad shot" or "player made good shot". I'm betting he is going to be some kind of wonder like Beckham, Brady or Carmelo Anthony! One could only hope!

6. Wyatt loves Superheroes!! He loves running around the house with Rory and fighting the evil robots, monsters, and bad guys (normally played by Me), and saving the world. Batman and Superman are their favorite shows to watch.

5. Wyatt's best friend hands down is Rory. He loves doing anything his brother is doing good or bad, right or wrong. He just loves being around him. It was bit of a struggle the first couple of times that Rory went to pre-school. But I think that he has gotten used to hanging out with mom.

4. Wyatt's smile is so contagious. He has this way of brightening up a room with his smile.

3. Unfortunately for Wyatt he has inherited something from my side of the family that I am not proud of -- A Uni brow. Luckily I have been able to wax, tweeze and all the other unpleasant things women have to go through in order to manage keeping two eyebrows instead of one.

2. Wyatt is not quite the clone Rory is to Brian. He does have some of my features. It always amazes me the mixed reviews people tell me about my kids. Rory for sure is all Brian. But Wyatt I had a woman ask me if I had anything to do with that child. I gently reminded her of the lovely beach ball I accessorized with my outfits for the last nine months. But then there are others who think he is more of an Ohr (pronounced "Oh rrr") than a Hutchison. Oh well it will be an adventure to see what the next one looks like.

1. Wyatt is so sweet and loving. Always making sure no one is left out. He loves to laugh especially at his brothers jokes and silliness. He is so sincere at times when he talks it is hard not to give in to those precious big brown eyes. I love it when he talks because he enunciates well but it sounds like he has a dozen marbles stuffed in his cheeks.

We love him and are so grateful to have him in our family.

Wyatt would like to tag any and all friends that would like to share a little something inside their world.
